Bridges and Interoperability groups protocols and chain-specific gateways that carry assets, messages or contract instructions between otherwise separate blockchain systems. The category includes canonical rollup bridges, liquidity networks, intent and routing layers, light-client or validator-based messaging, and interchain standards such as IBC. Coverage should examine verification assumptions, source and destination finality, wrapped-asset backing, relayers, liquidity, contract upgrades, exploits and recovery procedures. Individual protocols require their own tags, while ordinary transactions on a connected chain remain network topics unless the cross-chain mechanism is central.
