How Correction Requests Are Reviewed

The editorial team may compare the published article with primary documents, product records, regulatory publications, market data, public statements, on-chain information or other relevant evidence.

EgonCoin may contact the author, editor, original source or subject of coverage for clarification. The team may also ask the person submitting the request for additional documentation.

A correction request does not guarantee that a change will be made. Disagreement with an interpretation, conclusion, review score or unfavorable but accurate statement does not by itself establish a factual error.

The review considers both literal accuracy and whether the wording omits context in a way that could create a materially false impression. A statement may therefore require clarification even when an isolated phrase is technically defensible.

Minor Changes

Spelling, grammar, punctuation, formatting, broken links and other non-substantive issues may be corrected without a separate correction notice when the meaning is unchanged.

Minor edits should not be used to conceal a material factual change.

Clarifications

A clarification may be added when the original wording was technically accurate but incomplete, ambiguous or capable of creating a misleading impression.

Clarifications may explain chronology, attribution, geographic availability, product limitations or the difference between a company claim and independently verified information.

Clarifications are intended to make the original meaning easier to understand, not to hide a mistake or rewrite the history of the article. They may be appropriate when context, attribution or scope was insufficiently clear.

Material Corrections

A visible correction note may be added when an error materially affects the meaning, evidence, conclusion, identity, amount, date or other important part of an article.

A material correction should explain what was wrong and what has been changed without unnecessarily repeating harmful or false information.

The placement and detail of a correction note may depend on the seriousness of the error and the structure of the page.

Materiality depends on the role of the error in the article. An error is more significant when it affects the identity of a person or organization, the meaning of a document, a financial figure, a security claim, the headline or the article’s central conclusion.

Updates

Articles may be updated when new developments occur after publication. An update is not necessarily a correction.

Significant updates may include new regulatory actions, revised product terms, confirmed losses after a security incident, a company response or the completion of an event that was still developing when the article was published.

When an update materially changes the article, the page should make the change understandable to readers where practical.

Updates should preserve the distinction between information available at publication and information learned later. New developments do not necessarily mean the original article was wrong, but they may change what readers need to know now.

Reviews and Rankings

A company may submit factual corrections to a review or ranking, including changes to fees, supported assets, product availability or security information.

Factual corrections do not guarantee a different score, conclusion or ranking position. Editorial judgments may remain unchanged when the underlying evaluation remains supported.

Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position, and companies cannot purchase a correction or favorable outcome.

Removal and Retraction

EgonCoin does not remove accurate reporting solely because it is unfavorable to a person, company, exchange, protocol, token or product.

Removal or retraction may be considered when content is fundamentally false, unlawfully published, duplicated, technically corrupted or likely to create serious harm that cannot be adequately addressed through correction or clarification.

A retraction should be clear enough for readers to understand that the original article is no longer reliable.

Removal is not a substitute for correction when an article can be made accurate through a clear amendment. Retraction is reserved for situations in which the central basis of the material can no longer be responsibly maintained.

Legal and Privacy Requests

A legal demand, privacy request or threat does not automatically establish that published information is inaccurate.

EgonCoin may review relevant legal, safety and privacy considerations separately from factual accuracy. The publication does not promise a particular legal outcome and may seek qualified advice where appropriate.

Confidential Sources

EgonCoin may correct or clarify an article without disclosing the identity of a confidential source.

A request to identify an unnamed source does not by itself establish that an article contains an error.

Financial, Legal and Security Claims

Additional care is applied to errors involving investment returns, token supply, exchange solvency, reserves, security incidents, custody, regulation, legal status or access to funds.

EgonCoin content remains general information and is not personalized financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, mental-health or security advice.

Editorial Independence

Advertisers, partners, companies and subjects of coverage cannot purchase a correction, prevent a justified correction or require the removal of accurate reporting.

Correction decisions are based on evidence and editorial standards rather than commercial pressure.

The same correction standard applies whether a concern comes from a reader, a source, an advertiser, a company or a subject of coverage. Commercial importance does not make a claim true or false.

Responses and Timing

EgonCoin may not be able to respond individually to every message. Complex requests may require additional review or supporting documentation.

The absence of an immediate response should not be interpreted as acceptance or rejection of a correction request.
