Ethics Policy

Review EgonCoin’s standards for accuracy, independence, conflicts, fairness, privacy, sourcing, corrections and responsible crypto coverage.

EgonCoin’s ethical standards are intended to support accurate, independent and responsible reporting about cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology and digital-asset products.

These standards apply to editors, contributors and other people performing editorial work for EgonCoin.

Accuracy and Honesty

Editors must not knowingly publish fabricated facts, quotations, documents, credentials, partnerships, market data or events.

Uncertainty, allegations, predictions and promotional claims should be identified rather than presented as established fact.

Material factual errors should be corrected under the Corrections Policy.

Honesty includes describing the limits of evidence and avoiding language that makes a partial record appear complete. A technically true statement can still be misleading when essential context is withheld.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions should not be controlled by advertisers, product providers, partners, investors, subjects of coverage or people seeking favorable treatment.

Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position. Payment cannot purchase a favorable review, positive conclusion, higher score, correction outcome or removal of accurate reporting.

Independence protects both positive and negative coverage. A company does not receive favorable treatment because it advertises, and it is not treated negatively merely because no commercial relationship exists.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors and contributors should disclose material financial, professional or personal interests related to their coverage.

Potential conflicts may include token ownership, employment, consulting relationships, paid advisory roles, close personal relationships or a direct financial interest in a company or product discussed in an article.

A conflict may require reassignment, additional editorial review or a visible disclosure. Disclosure does not automatically make every assignment appropriate.

The relevant question is whether an interest could reasonably affect, or appear to affect, editorial judgment. Disclosure and assignment decisions should be proportionate to that relationship.

Market-Sensitive Information

Contributors must not use unpublished editorial information for trading, market manipulation or personal financial advantage.

An editor should not delay, accelerate or shape coverage in order to benefit a personal position in a token, company or financial product.

Cryptocurrency reporting can influence attention and expectations even when an article does not provide advice. Editors and contributors should therefore avoid using unpublished information for personal advantage or framing uncertain claims as market certainty.

Gifts, Travel and Product Access

Gifts, travel, product access, tokens or other benefits should not purchase favorable coverage.

When a product, account or device is supplied for review, the relationship should be disclosed when it is material to reader understanding. Access does not provide the supplier with approval rights over the review.

Fairness and Right of Response

People and organizations facing serious factual allegations may be given a reasonable opportunity to respond when practical and appropriate.

A response should be represented fairly, but it does not provide a veto over publication or require EgonCoin to adopt the subject’s preferred framing.

Refusal to comment does not automatically prevent publication when the reporting is otherwise sufficiently supported.

Fairness does not require publishing every response in full or treating unsupported denials as equal to documented evidence. It requires accurately representing material positions and giving relevant subjects a reasonable opportunity to address serious claims when appropriate.

Sources and Attribution

Named sources are preferred because they improve accountability and allow readers to assess credibility and potential conflicts.

Anonymous sources are used rarely and only when justified by public interest, source risk, editorial knowledge of the source’s identity and the availability of corroboration.

A source cannot use anonymity as a license to make unsupported attacks, manipulate a market or promote a product without accountability.

Privacy and Avoidable Harm

EgonCoin avoids publishing unnecessary personal information that could expose a person to fraud, harassment, identity theft or additional harm.

Private keys, wallet seed phrases, account credentials, payment details and similar security information must not be published.

Public interest, relevance and evidentiary value should be considered before publishing sensitive details.

Public availability alone does not make every personal detail necessary to an article. Relevance, evidentiary value and the risk of additional harm should guide what is included.

Fraud, Security Incidents and Victims

Coverage of scams, hacks and financial loss should avoid unnecessary blame or stigma toward victims.

Reporting should distinguish confirmed losses, estimates, allegations and company statements. Instructions that could facilitate phishing, malware, unauthorized access or theft should not be published as operational guidance.

Financial and Professional Claims

EgonCoin does not publish guaranteed investment returns, risk-free claims or personalized financial, investment, legal, tax, security, medical or mental-health advice.

Articles should not conceal material risks, fees, lock-ups, withdrawal restrictions or uncertainty.

Commercial Separation

Programmatic advertising may appear on EgonCoin, but advertising does not determine editorial content or corrections.

Sponsored content is not currently confirmed as an active standard format. If introduced, it must be clearly labeled and separated from independent editorial coverage.

EgonCoin does not currently use affiliate marketing as an active revenue model.

Artificial Intelligence

AI must not be used to invent people, credentials, quotations, documents, sources or evidence.

EgonCoin does not use AI to draft articles, translate content, create article summaries, monitor sources autonomously or make publication decisions.

AI may occasionally be used for clearly non-documentary illustrations under human editorial control.

Accountability

Ethical concerns may be reviewed by the publication’s editorial leadership. Appropriate responses may include clarification, correction, disclosure, reassignment, removal of material or another proportionate action.

Concerns may be sent to info@egoncoin.com. Factual correction requests should be sent to corrections@egoncoin.com.

Accountability means that editorial standards remain meaningful after publication. Readers must have a route to question sourcing, report errors and understand how the publication distinguishes correction from disagreement.
