About

Learn what EgonCoin covers, how its editorial work is organized, who currently publishes it, how the publication developed from its 2017 roots, and how commercial activity is separated from editorial decisions.

EgonCoin is an English-language publication covering cryptocurrency markets, blockchain infrastructure and digital-asset products for readers in the United States. Our reporting also follows international developments when they affect US readers, global cryptocurrency markets, product availability, regulation, security or the operation of blockchain networks.

EgonCoin exists to help readers understand cryptocurrency through source-based reporting and explanations that distinguish documented facts, claims and uncertainty. We aim to explain what happened, why it matters, which evidence supports the available claims and what remains uncertain.

Our public positioning is: “Since 2017 · Your news coin in the crypto world.”

Our Mission

Cryptocurrency sits at the intersection of finance, software, infrastructure, regulation, consumer technology and security. Important developments are often communicated through technical documentation, company statements, regulatory notices, blockchain records, market data and promotional claims that may be difficult to evaluate without context.

EgonCoin’s mission is to make those developments easier to understand without reducing complex issues to slogans or price speculation. We seek to identify the facts that matter, explain the mechanics behind a product or market event and distinguish observable evidence from marketing language, opinion or prediction.

Our articles are intended to help readers ask better questions. That may include understanding who controls a product, how a token supply can change, what fees or restrictions apply, how custody works, what a regulatory action actually says or what evidence exists after a security incident.

The value of this approach is not limited to explaining terminology. It also helps readers understand which details can materially change the meaning of a story, including the difference between a product announcement and a functioning product, between a stated intention and an implemented change, and between market attention and evidence of lasting use.

What We Cover

EgonCoin’s core coverage includes:

  • Bitcoin and Ethereum
  • Altcoins, token launches and token markets
  • Stablecoins and digital payments
  • Decentralized finance
  • Centralized and decentralized exchanges
  • Software wallets, hardware wallets and custody services
  • Cryptocurrency security, fraud and consumer risk
  • Blockchain infrastructure, Layer 2 networks, bridges, nodes and APIs
  • Mining, validators, staking and network operations
  • Tokenomics, governance, incentives and token unlocks
  • Cryptocurrency regulation, enforcement and policy
  • Tokenization and real-world asset infrastructure

Our publishing formats may include news reports, explainers, guides, analysis, reviews, rankings, comparisons, interviews, expert commentary and articles based on public documents, product documentation, market datasets or on-chain information.

Coverage is organized around the relationship between technology, markets, products and user consequences. A development may therefore be relevant not only because a token or company is mentioned, but because it changes how assets are issued, transferred, stored, governed, secured or made available to readers.

Who We Serve

EgonCoin primarily serves readers in the United States. Our audience may include general readers following cryptocurrency news, users evaluating exchanges or wallets, investors seeking general market context, developers, researchers, companies and policy or industry observers.

We do not assume that every reader has advanced technical or financial knowledge. Articles should explain specialized terms when those terms are necessary to understand the subject. At the same time, we avoid oversimplifying material risks, uncertainty or limitations.

This audience range affects how articles are written. Basic concepts should be explained without making experienced readers work through unnecessary simplification, while technical or market detail should be presented with enough context for less familiar readers to understand why it matters.

Our Editorial Approach

EgonCoin prefers named, primary and directly reviewable sources where reasonably available. Depending on the article, these may include official documents, regulatory records, blockchain data, technical documentation, public code repositories, exchange notices, fee schedules, market data and attributable expert commentary.

Company announcements, protocol statements and press releases may be relevant sources, but they are attributed and are not automatically treated as independently verified facts. Claims involving adoption, security, reserves, performance, yield or partnerships may require additional support.

Anonymous sources are not part of our routine publishing process. EgonCoin uses unnamed sources rarely and only when the information has meaningful public-interest value, the source is known to the responsible editor, the source faces a credible risk and the information can be reviewed or corroborated where possible.

Source quality is considered in relation to the claim being made. A technical document may be useful for describing how a product is intended to work, while market, legal or security conclusions may require different evidence and clearer acknowledgment of limitations.

Our History

EgonCoin traces its editorial history to 2017, with a continuing focus on cryptocurrency, blockchain technology and digital-asset markets.

Full editorial publishing resumed in 2026 with updated sourcing, fact-checking, corrections and commercial-separation standards. The relaunch continued EgonCoin’s focus on cryptocurrency markets, blockchain technology and digital assets.

Originally established in 2017, EgonCoin resumed full editorial publishing in 2026 as a new stage in the development of the original cryptocurrency publication.

Ownership and Editorial Leadership

EgonCoin is owned and published by Catheryne Nicholson, who serves as publisher and principal editorial lead.

Guido Molinari serves as an editor and core editorial contributor.

EgonCoin does not currently identify a corporate parent, holding company, institutional investor, venture-capital owner or acquisition relationship. Ownership and funding information is published separately so readers can understand the publication’s commercial structure.

Editorial Independence

EgonCoin may display programmatic advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising revenue may support publication costs, but advertisers do not determine which topics receive coverage, how articles are written, how products are reviewed, how rankings are ordered or how corrections are handled.

Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position. Companies cannot purchase a favorable review, positive conclusion, higher score or correction outcome.

EgonCoin does not currently use sponsored content as a standard publishing format. EgonCoin does not currently use affiliate marketing as an active revenue model. If sponsored content or affiliate relationships are introduced, EgonCoin will disclose material commercial relationships where readers encounter them and update the relevant policy pages.

This separation protects readers from confusing commercial visibility with editorial judgment. The presence of an advertisement, company name or promoted product does not change the evidence required for independent coverage.

AI and Human Editorial Control

EgonCoin does not use AI to write, draft, rewrite, summarize, translate, research, fact-check, select sources, prepare metadata or descriptions, assign tags or categories, create author biographies, or make editorial decisions.

AI tools may be used only to create, prepare or edit illustrations and other visual materials. AI-generated or materially AI-altered visuals must not be presented as documentary evidence of a real event.

EgonCoin’s editors are responsible for research, sourcing, fact-checking, writing, editing, publication decisions and corrections; AI use is limited to visual materials.

Financial and Professional Information

Cryptocurrency coverage can affect readers’ finances, privacy, security, legal position and access to funds. EgonCoin content is provided for general informational and editorial purposes and is not personalized financial, investment, legal, tax or cybersecurity advice.

EgonCoin does not guarantee investment returns, future token prices, product security, regulatory approval, service availability or recovery of lost funds. Readers should verify current terms, fees, risks, geographic availability and regulatory information before making personal decisions.
