Review the standards that would govern labeling, accuracy and editorial separation if EgonCoin introduces sponsored content.
Sponsored content is not currently confirmed as an active standard publishing format on EgonCoin.
This policy describes the labeling, review, separation and subject-matter standards that would apply if EgonCoin introduces sponsored articles, paid partner materials, branded content or similar commercial formats.
What Sponsored Content Means
Sponsored content is material created, commissioned or published in exchange for payment, services or another material commercial benefit.
Sponsored content may resemble an article in format, but it is not the same as independent editorial reporting. Readers should be able to identify the commercial relationship before relying on the content.
The defining feature is the commercial relationship, not the subject matter or visual style. Content about a relevant industry topic remains sponsored when payment or another material commercial arrangement influenced its creation or placement.
Required Labeling
Sponsored material must be clearly identified using language such as “Sponsored,” “Paid Content,” “Partner Content” or another label that readers can understand.
The disclosure should be visible near the title or beginning of the material. It should not be hidden in a general footer, ambiguous icon or distant disclosure page.
Commercial content must not be designed to imitate independent news reporting without disclosure.
Disclosure should appear where readers can see it before or while engaging with the material. A label should not be hidden in a general legal page or expressed in language that obscures the paid nature of the content.
Responsibility for Claims
A sponsor would remain responsible for claims about its products, services, regulatory status, performance, security, partnerships and commercial terms.
EgonCoin could reject, request changes to or remove sponsored material that contains unsupported claims, deceptive statements, unsafe instructions or material omissions.
Publication would not convert a sponsor’s claim into an independently verified EgonCoin conclusion.
Commercial responsibility does not remove the need for editorial review. EgonCoin may decline material whose claims cannot be presented accurately, whose qualifications are missing or whose overall impression would be misleading.
Editorial Separation
Payment for sponsored content would not provide control over independent EgonCoin reporting, reviews, rankings, corrections or editorial conclusions.
A sponsor could not require EgonCoin to remove accurate reporting, suppress criticism, publish a positive review or change a ranking position.
Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position.
Independent coverage of a sponsor may be positive, negative or mixed depending on the evidence. A commercial relationship does not create an expectation of favorable treatment or silence about relevant problems.
Potentially Acceptable Sponsored Topics
Subject to editorial and commercial review, potentially acceptable topics may include:
- Blockchain infrastructure
- Developer tools and APIs
- Cryptocurrency and digital-asset security
- Regulated exchanges
- Wallets and custody services
- Fintech and payment technology
- Stablecoin infrastructure
- Cryptocurrency market data and analytics
- Tokenization and real-world assets
- Cloud and enterprise software
- Professional industry services
- Research and educational initiatives
- Relevant conferences and industry events
A topic’s presence on this list does not guarantee acceptance. The specific product, claims, legal status and proposed presentation would still require review.
Rejected Topics and Claims
EgonCoin would reject sponsored material involving:
- Scams, fraud or deceptive token promotions
- Pump-and-dump campaigns or market manipulation
- Guaranteed profits, guaranteed yield or risk-free investments
- Unsupported investment or price claims
- Unlicensed or misleading financial services
- Fake exchanges, wallets or investment platforms
- Phishing, malware, impersonation or credential theft
- Fabricated testimonials, reviews or partnerships
- Unsupported security, performance, adoption, reserve or yield claims
- Hidden fees, lock-ups or withdrawal limitations
- Illegal products and services
- Adult, gambling, weapons or illegal-drug content
- Hate, extremist or discriminatory propaganda
- Political misinformation
- Privacy-invasive products
- Unsupported medical, legal, tax or financial advice
- Content designed primarily to manipulate cryptocurrency markets
Evidence and Substantiation
Claims about returns, customer numbers, security, reserves, regulatory approval, partnerships, audits or performance should be supported by evidence that can be reviewed.
A sponsor should not use selective statistics, outdated results or technical language to create a misleading impression.
Risk disclosures should be readable and should not contradict the main message.
The level of support should match the importance of the claim. Statements about functionality may require product documentation, while claims about security, performance, adoption or financial outcomes require more than promotional description.
Financial and High-Impact Content
Sponsored cryptocurrency material must not be presented as personalized financial, investment, legal, tax, security, medical or mental-health advice.
EgonCoin would not permit a sponsor to guarantee returns, eliminate risk or imply that publication constitutes regulatory approval or editorial endorsement.
Links and Calls to Action
Links in sponsored content should lead to relevant and accurately described destinations. Deceptive redirects, unsafe downloads, phishing pages or hidden tracking mechanisms are not acceptable.
Calls to action should not pressure readers to disclose private keys, seed phrases, passwords or other sensitive credentials.
Corrections and Removal
Sponsored material may be corrected, updated, rejected or removed when claims become inaccurate, the destination becomes unsafe or the sponsor violates the agreed standards.
A sponsor would not control the wording or outcome of an EgonCoin correction notice.
Commercial status does not exempt sponsored material from correction. If a factual statement is shown to be wrong or materially misleading, the response should protect the accuracy of the published record rather than the convenience of the sponsor.
